AgreGtr Analysis
The Innova 5610 OBD2 scanner receives strong praise from US-based DIYers and enthusiasts for its bi-directional controls, multi-system diagnostics, and Repair Solutions 2 app integration. However, a recurring frustration involves delayed software updates that left some users stuck on 2018-era vehicle coverage, and international buyers consistently report the product being non-functional or unsupported outside the United States. Overall satisfaction is high among domestic users but significantly dragged down by geographic limitations and past update reliability issues.
Pros & Cons
- Bi-directional component activation (fuel pump, fans, etc.) enables precise troubleshooting beyond guesswork
- Reads multiple systems including ABS, SRS, and transmission—not just engine codes
- Repair Solutions 2 app provides specific repair recommendations via Bluetooth, saving users significant repair costs
- Solid build quality with illuminated OBD port connector and easy-to-read display
- Live data graphing aids in diagnosing intermittent issues across domestic and import vehicles
- Software updates were stalled at 2018 coverage for over a year, leaving post-2018 vehicles with only basic code reading
- Product and companion app are non-functional outside the United States, frustrating international buyers
- No carrying case or USB cable included in the box despite the premium price point
- Vehicle compatibility is inconsistent—available data heavily depends on the individual car's ECU capabilities
- Full manual only available in electronic form, not printed
