AgreGtr Analysis
The Soundcore Select 4 Go is a compact, waterproof Bluetooth speaker that earns strong praise for delivering surprisingly powerful and clear sound relative to its small size and budget price point of around $25. Customers highlight it as an excellent shower speaker, travel companion, and personal listening device, frequently comparing it favorably to similarly sized offerings from JBL and Bose. The primary criticisms center on button usability and slightly shorter-than-expected battery life in practice, but these are minor concerns that do not significantly diminish overall satisfaction.
Pros & Cons
- Impressive sound quality and volume for its compact size and ~$25 price point
- IP67 waterproof rating performs reliably in steamy showers and wet environments
- Outstanding battery life lasting well beyond typical daily use needs
- Easy Bluetooth pairing and app-based customizable EQ with preset options
- Lightweight, portable design with included strap makes it convenient for travel, biking, and hiking
- Control buttons lack tactile feedback and texture, requiring visual confirmation to operate
- Battery life falls somewhat short of the advertised 20 hours under real-world conditions
- Slight audio latency noticeable when watching video content like YouTube
- Sound can become harsh or distorted above 75–80% volume
- Hanging strap reported as too short for optimal convenience in some mounting scenarios
