AgreGtr Analysis
The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro earbuds are broadly praised as a top-tier flagship offering that punches above its price class, with reviewers repeatedly citing class-leading call quality, excellent ANC, a feature-rich companion app, and an innovative smart charging case. Most buyers describe the experience as competitive with or superior to Sony, Bose, and Apple AirPods Pro at a lower price point. A small number of reviewers note Bluetooth connectivity issues, shorter ANC battery life compared to AirPods Pro, and a stock sound signature that requires EQ tuning to reach its potential.
Pros & Cons
- Guinness-certified call quality consistently praised as best-in-class, isolating voice clearly even in loud environments like warehouses and subway platforms
- ANC performance rated on par with Bose and superior to Sony XM6 by multiple reviewers, providing near-silent isolation
- Smart charging case touchscreen is praised as genuinely functional for switching ANC modes, checking battery, and pairing without opening the app
- Extensive app customization including HearID EQ, adaptive modes, programmable controls, and swipe volume gestures
- Strong value proposition against AirPods Pro 3 and Technics AZ100 at a lower or comparable price point
- Default sound tuning is V-shaped and bass-heavy, requiring significant EQ adjustment to achieve balanced, natural sound
- Bluetooth connectivity issues and audio breakup reported in proximity to other wireless device users
- ANC battery life shorter than AirPods Pro 3, and enabling AI features, LDAC, or voice control drains battery noticeably faster
- Earbuds can be difficult to seat correctly in the charging case, requiring careful attention each time
- ANC mode occasionally resets to 'normal' unexpectedly, and the Soundcore Care feature in the app was reported as broken or unimplemented by one reviewer
