AgreGtr Analysis
The Sony WH-CH720N headphones receive strong overall praise for their exceptional lightweight comfort, solid noise cancellation, impressive battery life, and versatile app with customizable EQ. Most buyers consider them excellent value at their price point, though a subset of long-term and higher-paying users flag concerns about build quality, ear cup size for larger ears or glasses wearers, and occasional Bluetooth connectivity issues. A handful of reviews are very brief or non-English, contributing modest noise to the review set.
Pros & Cons
- Exceptionally lightweight design (192g) praised across multiple reviews for all-day comfort
- 35-hour battery life widely confirmed, with users reporting only needing to charge once or twice per week
- Sony Headphones Connect app praised for customizable EQ, multipoint connectivity, and adjustable settings stored on-device
- Effective ANC for home and travel use, significantly reducing background hum, fan noise, and plane cabin noise
- Multipoint Bluetooth connectivity allows simultaneous pairing to two devices, praised for seamless work and phone use
- Ear cups too small for users with larger ears or glasses, causing pressure pain after 30–45 minutes of use
- Plasticky build quality feels below the price point for some buyers, with concerns about long-term durability
- Intermittent Bluetooth disconnection issues reported by at least one user, particularly with Apple devices
- Play/pause button difficult to locate between volume buttons, causing accidental presses
- No included carrying case or storage pouch for a $100–$150 headphone
