AgreGtr Analysis
The Apple Magic Mouse (USB-C) receives strong praise from Mac users for its seamless pairing, smooth multi-touch gesture navigation, sleek design, and solid battery life. Most buyers find it an excellent productivity companion for macOS, though the bottom-mounted charging port is a universally noted inconvenience, and a small number of users report compatibility or scrolling issues with certain macOS versions. It is widely regarded as best suited for Mac ecosystems and lighter productivity work rather than precision or ergonomics-intensive tasks.
Pros & Cons
- Seamless, effortless pairing and integration with macOS and Apple devices
- Multi-touch gesture support (swiping desktops, smooth scrolling, Mission Control) feels natural and intuitive
- Strong battery life lasting weeks between charges
- Sleek, premium design with a glass-like surface that feels premium on the desk
- No need for disposable batteries; USB-C charging is convenient when planned ahead
- Charging port is on the bottom of the mouse, making it unusable while charging
- Low-profile, flat form factor can cause discomfort during long work sessions or for users needing palm support
- Scrolling and battery level notifications reportedly non-functional on some macOS versions (e.g., Mac Sonoma)
- Limited functionality when used with Windows out of the box
- Considered overpriced relative to competing mice
