AgreGtr Analysis
The Shark AV2501S AI Ultra robotic vacuum receives generally positive feedback for its suction power, HEPA filtration, LiDAR mapping, self-emptying base, and long-term durability, with multiple owners reporting strong performance over 3+ years. However, a notable minority of buyers report significant issues including poor battery life, inadequate suction compared to competitors, app instability, and maintenance challenges such as inaccessible brush roll mechanisms. The product excels as a daily maintenance vacuum for pet hair and dust but is not a full replacement for a traditional upright vacuum.
Pros & Cons
- Strong suction effectively picks up pet hair, dust, and dirt on multiple floor types
- Self-emptying base with HEPA filtration is highly convenient for allergy sufferers
- LiDAR mapping enables precise, methodical whole-home coverage including under furniture
- Proven long-term durability with multiple reviewers reporting 3+ years of regular use
- Scheduling and room-specific cleaning features save significant time over manual vacuuming
- Battery life falls well short of the advertised 120-minute runtime, with some reporting only ~40–60 minutes before recharging
- Brush roll mechanism can become inaccessible when fur and lint work into the turning parts, rendering the unit unusable
- App has notable issues including frequent logouts, scheduling limitations, and inability to edit maps without full remapping
- Self-emptying base dustbin fills faster than expected in high-pet-hair homes, requiring emptying every 1–2 days
- Replacement parts (filters, rollers) can be difficult to source in correct sizes, and maintenance requires multiple tool types
