AgreGtr Analysis
The Roborock robotic vacuum earns strong praise across most reviews for its precise LiDAR navigation, quiet operation, effective pet hair pickup, and feature-rich app with scheduling and zone cleaning. A minority of reviewers report frustrating issues including the robot failing to respect no-go zones when leaving the dock, occasional app bugs, and one instance of hardware failure just outside the warranty period. Overall, the vast majority of buyers are highly satisfied and frequently compare it favorably to Roomba and Neato alternatives.
Pros & Cons
- Precise LiDAR mapping enables room-by-room zone cleaning and accurate multi-floor map retention
- Excellent pet hair and fine dust pickup on both hard floors and carpets
- Noticeably quieter than competing brands like Shark and Roomba
- Feature-rich app supports scheduling, zone cleaning, no-go zones, and Alexa/Google Home integration
- Reliable docking and charging connection compared to Roomba's bottom-contact design
- Robot sometimes ignores no-go zones during the 'establishing location' phase after leaving the dock, causing it to fall off steps
- App can be buggy — map editing is cumbersome, control screen fails to load, and settings require extra navigation steps
- Battery may not cover large homes in a single charge, requiring mid-clean docking
- Map saving feature has been noted as unstable, occasionally shifting or overwriting saved room layouts
- One reviewer reported laser hardware failure at ~9 months with poor warranty support response
