AgreGtr Analysis
The KONG dog toy receives overwhelmingly positive feedback for its exceptional durability, treat-stuffing versatility, and ability to keep dogs engaged for extended periods. Customers consistently praise its toughness against aggressive chewers and consider it a worthwhile investment compared to pet store pricing. A minority of reviewers flag sizing inconsistencies, with some finding the toy runs small or noting the treat hole is too large for effective engagement.
Pros & Cons
- Extremely durable and withstands aggressive chewing from most dogs
- Keeps dogs entertained for long periods when stuffed with peanut butter, treats, or frozen fillings
- Works well as a distraction tool when leaving dogs home alone
- Good value compared to retail pet store prices
- Easy to clean and safe to leave with unsupervised pets
- Sizing is inconsistent — some customers find labeled sizes run smaller than expected
- Treat hole can be too large, allowing dogs to extract treats too quickly
- Not suitable for all aggressive chewers — at least one pit bull chewed off a piece
- Interior can be difficult to clean without a bottle brush
- Treats fall out quickly for some dogs, limiting long-term engagement
