AgreGtr Analysis
The Instant Pot Pro 8-Quart receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from buyers who praise its stainless steel inner pot with handles, fast preheating, and versatile cooking functions including sous vide and multi-level sauté. A notable minority of reviewers report a significant flaw: the slow cook function fails to reach proper cooking temperature, sometimes staying in 'preheat' mode for hours and leaving food undercooked. The interface dial lag and beeping during timer adjustment are secondary complaints, though most users find the overall experience efficient and well worth the investment.
Pros & Cons
- Stainless steel inner pot with silicone handles allows safe removal without oven mitts and prevents spinning during stirring
- Fast preheating — reaches pressure or steam temperature in approximately 8 minutes
- Multi-level sauté mode offers precise heat control beyond just low/high settings
- Clear LCD progress bar display shows preheating, cooking, and venting stages in real time
- Dishwasher-safe lid and inner pot make post-cooking cleanup effortless
- Slow cook function reportedly fails to reach adequate cooking temperature, leaving food raw after hours of 'preheating'
- Dial interface has noticeable lag and emits constant beeping when adjusting the timer, with no way to mute only the beep
- Default yogurt temperature setting (42°C) is too low, requiring manual adjustment to achieve proper results
- Learning curve for first-time users due to the number of customizable programs and settings
- Cord management slot in the back is too narrow to be practical for organizing the full cord length
