AgreGtr Analysis
The Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 receives overwhelmingly positive reviews from customers who praise its strong suction, effective mopping, and highly convenient self-cleaning dock. Pet owners in particular highlight its ability to manage fur and hair with minimal effort. The rare criticisms include a notable incident with pet waste avoidance and minor limitations on thick carpets and low-clearance furniture.
Pros & Cons
- Powerful 25,000Pa suction effectively picks up dust, pet hair, and debris on both hard floors and carpet
- All-in-one self-cleaning dock automatically empties dustbin, washes and dries mop pad, and minimizes manual maintenance
- Accurate mapping and smart obstacle avoidance navigate around furniture without frequent intervention
- Extendable side brush cleans corners and under furniture better than typical robot vacuums
- App control with scheduling, voice assistant support, and 2D/3D map views adds significant convenience
- Object avoidance cannot reliably detect pet waste, leading to one reported serious mess incident
- Mopping is not a substitute for hand-scrubbing on tough stains
- Thick carpets still clean more effectively with a traditional upright vacuum
- Robot's larger physical size requires meaningful dock footprint and may not fit under all low furniture
- Dirty water tank requires regular manual cleaning
