AgreGtr Analysis
The Black+Decker 12V cordless drill/driver receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from homeowners and DIYers seeking a compact, affordable, and reliable tool for light-to-medium household tasks. Customers consistently praise its long battery life, lightweight design, and excellent value for the price. A small number of reviewers note it lacks the power for heavy-duty applications like drilling concrete, and one buyer missed the bit storage slot found on larger models.
Pros & Cons
- Impressively long battery life that holds charge well between uses
- Lightweight and compact design reduces arm fatigue and fits tight spaces
- Excellent value and performance for the price (around $25)
- Variable torque/speed settings provide good control for driving screws
- Handles wood, metal, and plastic with ease for everyday home projects
- Not powerful enough for demanding tasks like drilling through concrete
- No onboard bit storage slot (unlike comparable 20V models)
- Some reviews are too brief to confirm performance beyond basic use cases
