AgreGtr Analysis
The AVID POWER 20V cordless drill receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from homeowners and DIY beginners, with reviewers consistently praising its lightweight build, sufficient power for everyday tasks, and strong value for the price. Several long-term owners report reliable performance over months and even years of occasional use. The only recurring criticisms target the included accessory bits rather than the drill itself, with some noting the bits are mediocre and one arriving warped, and reviewers confirm the drill is not suited for concrete or masonry work as the manufacturer discloses.
Pros & Cons
- Lightweight and comfortable design reduces arm and wrist fatigue during use
- Sufficient torque and power for typical DIY tasks like furniture assembly, wood drilling, and screw driving
- Long-lasting battery with real-time charge indicator and quick recharge time
- Excellent value for the price compared to name-brand alternatives
- Built-in LED light and keyless chuck add meaningful convenience for everyday use
- Included drill bits are mediocre quality and one reviewer received a warped bit
- Not suitable for masonry or concrete work, limiting versatility for tougher materials
- Included accessories missing square/Robertson driver bits; pozidriv bits included instead are rarely useful in North America
- Slightly bulky form factor can be uncomfortable for users with small hands
- Battery depletes without gradual warning — drill goes from full force to dead with little notice
