AgreGtr Analysis
The TYMO ROVY curling waver receives overwhelmingly positive feedback for its fast heat-up time, ease of use, and ability to create lasting beach waves across various hair types including 4A texture. Most buyers are highly satisfied with the results and value, though a recurring concern about a burnt hair smell and a few minor usability quirks temper an otherwise strong reception. The majority of reviewers recommend the product and express intent to continue using it.
Pros & Cons
- Heats up extremely fast, reaching full temperature in under 30 seconds to 2 minutes
- Easy to use for beginners, creating consistent beach waves with minimal effort
- Waves last all day without heavy product use
- Works across multiple hair types including coarse, curly, fine, and 4A texture
- Locking mechanism and rubber edge guards enhance safety and storage convenience
- Noticeable burnt hair smell during and after use, lingering even after washing for some users
- Timer does not always sound reliably after the set interval
- Clamp can snag hair between the plates and plastic body
- Barrel may be too wide for shorter hair styles
- High heat settings may be too intense for certain hair types, requiring users to go below recommended temperatures
