AgreGtr Analysis
The Color Wow Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer receives overwhelmingly positive feedback for delivering lightweight, non-sticky volume that lasts multiple days between washes, particularly for fine and thin hair types. Most customers praise its ability to add body and shine without the stiffness, greasiness, or crunch associated with competing products. The primary recurring concern is its premium price point, with a small number of users finding it ineffective for their specific hair type or experiencing product quality issues.
Pros & Cons
- Delivers lightweight, weightless volume without stickiness, crunchiness, or greasiness
- Volume lasts multiple days between washes, extending time between wash cycles
- Works especially well for fine, thin, and limp hair types
- Leaves hair soft, shiny, and bouncy rather than stiff
- A little product goes a long way — small amounts sufficient for short to medium hair
- Premium price point is frequently noted as a drawback across reviews
- Advertising and product photos may oversell the degree of volume achievable
- Requires proper blow-drying technique to maximize results; not fully effortless
- Did not work for at least one reviewer with fine, short, layered hair — left hair flat and straw-like the next day
- One reviewer received what appeared to be a defective or counterfeit unit dispensing liquid instead of foam
